One of my favorite classes in college was a senior-level project-based program where we designed educational exhibits for nature centers. (My first career was in forestry, but that’s a story for another day.)
Anyhow, my professor drilled into our heads that “Everything Sends a Message.”
He was referring to our choices of colors, visuals, fonts, materials, and exhibit placement. However, I have carried the “Everything Sends a Message” mantra with me throughout the rest of my career and life.
Let’s think about this for a minute as it applies to your personal brand.
Everything sends a message…..
- Your word choice
- Your non-verbal body language
- The way you dress and groom yourself
- How you respond when you’re under stress
- Your social media presence
- The way you choose to support others
- How you demonstrate living by your values
This list goes on and on, but I think you get the idea.
What messages are you sending?
Are they in alignment with the brand you want to convey?
Over the next few weeks, I’m going to dive into personal branding and provide you with some insights for creating and enhancing your personal brand.
Do you know someone that could benefit from this? Invite them to subscribe to my weekly emails.
Wishing you the best!
