One of my friends recently posted on social media, “Hello December; You’re the last one, so be the BEST one!” I think we can all agree that 2020 has been a challenging year. It’s also been a year of growth, increased resilience, and innovation.
As we close out the year, I encourage you to reflect on your experiences during 2020 and look for all of the good things that have happened.
I’ve been having this conversation with my clients, friends, and family. Here are some of the things they have been sharing:
INCREASED connection with friends and family: Many have embraced technology to host virtual game nights, “wine-thirty,” fireside chats, or other virtual gatherings with friends and family both near and far.
INCREASED connection with co-workers: This environment has allowed us into the homes of our colleagues, and we’ve enjoyed having their children and pets make guest appearances during business meetings.
INCREASED opportunities to learn: Everyone went through tremendous challenges and adversity and learned a lot through those experiences. Access to formal training has also increased as programs converted to virtual formats allowed participation from all parts of the world.
The list goes on, but I’ll stop here and allow you to get started on your list.
Wishing you the best!
Amy
