Last April, I asked a small group of women to create a long-term vision for their careers and lives. They were enrolled in my group coaching program and beginning their journey to level up their lives.

Each of them developed a unique and aspirational vision. When they created it, some felt uncertain about whether they could actually achieve it.

This week, we reconvened for the final phase of their program, and I asked them for a progress update.

They shared many stories about their actions to move them closer to their vision.

They also shared stories about the challenges and roadblocks slowing them down.

And they shared the milestones they had achieved, realizing that they were further along their journey than expected in some cases!

So, how do you achieve aspirational goals?

Here’s how these women are doing it:

• Invest in Yourself: These women invested in themselves and made their goals a priority. It’s not just a financial investment. They also invested time, energy, and focus.
• Create an Action Plan: They identified the actions that would help them achieve their vision and prioritized the actions they wanted to take.
• Create Accountability: By meeting regularly with the group, they felt a sense of accountability to make progress and share their updates.
• Seek Support: Being part of this supportive group gave them a venue to celebrate successes and figure out how to overcome challenges and roadblocks. The encouragement, support, and inspiration fueled their drive to keep moving towards their goals.

It’s not easy to stay focused on doing the right things to achieve your goals. But it is possible!
